Challenge.

Explore the limits of FDM printing, where the impossible becomes possible, and manufacturing has not limits.

Opportunity.

Design a modular brush, that has interchangeable heads, ranging from precision cleaning to broad space cleaning.

All In One.

During this ideation development stage, I focused on creating a modular system. This modular system allows the brush to be used in three different ways, while keeping ergonomics in check.

Functionality.

The bristles were printed successfully. Unfortunately, they performed lower than a scrub brush from an average brand. In reality, PLA is a weak material compared to Nylon. Due to the time constraints of the brief, I was not able to further develop bristles with other materials besides PLA.

Works great on tight spaces or can be used for grout cleaning.

Heaving Duty.

Use it with or without the handle according to scrubbing needs.

Replaceable Bristles.

Bristles on both the main brush or handle brush can be replaced after they lose their strength.
